Family photography prices across Northern Ireland typically run from around £70 to £150 for a shorter mini session, up to £250 or more for longer, more premium sessions, depending on the photographer's experience, session length and how many edited photos are included.

• Extended Family Session, 1.5 hours, £300, 70 edited photos (for groups of more than 5 people)

What actually affects the price

• How long the session runs, longer sessions mean more variety and more edited photos.

• How many people are involved, bigger family groups take more time to photograph well.

• Travel, it's included within Belfast, and sessions outside Belfast are charged at £1 per mile.

• What's included, whether that's just the shoot itself, or extras like a set number of edited images guaranteed.
